Subject: AGP440.SYS Failure
Text: Greetings, I currently have a Shuttle HOT 649A, with the MOST RECENT BIOS UPDATE, ver AS023 installed.
This is a Dual BX motherboard, capable of up to 153FSB, with a 1/4 PCI divider, and 2/3 PCI divider.
I currently have PC133 Micron CAS 2 RAM. Right Now I have 2x Celeron 333a's in the board
running Windows XP, and everything is Hunky doory, no problems. My video card
is an Inno 3D GeForce 2 GTS 64MB DDR (AGP 2x.)
I decided to upgrade my CPUS with Powerleap's PL-iP3/T Socket 370 to Slot 1 adapters
and 2 x P3 1000EB FCPGA CPUs. The BIOS reads the processors ok, but WinXP
Crashes at start up. In SAFE mode, the system hangs while loading AGP440.SYS
It does this EVERY SINGLE TIME. I tried swapping my video card with an old
PCI video card, but the same AGP440.SYS hang up occcurs. I tried removing
everything but the video card and hard drive, but still AGP440.SYS hangs up.
I tried to re-install Windows XP from the bootable CD, but it crashes at the
Starting Windows screen, every single time. This is awfully frustrating.
On Google forums, MANY people have run into this problem, but have no
answer. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET AROUND AGP440.SYS WHEN USING A COPPERMINE
CPU ON A BX CHIPSET MOTHERBOARD, (using a slotket of course.)

Please post, or email me as soon as you find a fix for this problem.
This problem is VERY LIKELY to occur if i switch to Win2000, as AGP440.SYS
would be used again. It may have something to do with the way the driver
handles instructions, since the Coppermine CPUs have a different set than
then old celerons I have (Cu Mine = SSE, Celeron = nothing)
